The aim of this project is to create ‘mutual communication between visitors and artist (myself). A small mobile wagon was made and moved around the city. I was operating the Japanese manga style portrait stall from wagon to provide visitors their own portrait drawn with Japanese traditional brush. The idea is mutual exchange, so in return, while I am drawing, visitor is asked to make something to give in exchange of their portrait by using a paper and pen. What I have received from them crosses really wide range : introducing Bulgarian language and/or culture, drawing, poem, letter, personal story, their thought between Japan and Bulgaria, even singing a song etc… The whole project is done very happily through exchanging roughly 130 different gifts in five working days.
